Below, please find information relative to a free of charge, voluntary COVID testing program, which we are bringing to the district beginning this Saturday, January 2, 2021. Testing an entire district is a considerably challenging undertaking and our plan is to remain calm and flexible as we work to garner a districtwide data set, which will inform our decision making going forward. Please note that this is an opportunity which came to us during recent conversations and while lead time is short, we truly believe the data will enable us to make wise choices. Please also note that this is absolutely a voluntary testing program and people who choose not to participate do not need to email their objections, but instead can simply skip the testing. The process will actually be quite simple in that a parent needs only to fill out the brief privacy agreement and show up at the designated time that coincides with the family’s last name.
Again, we don’t expect that this testing will produce a “miracle“ but do believe that the data can help us stretch the time frame and keep people safe until the vaccine arrives.

Hacer pruebas de COVID a todo un distrito completo es una empresa considerablemente desafiante y nuestro plan es mantener la calma y la flexibilidad mientras trabajamos para recopilar información de todo el distrito para poder tomar decisiones en el futuro, en base a esta información. Tenga en cuenta que esta es una oportunidad que se nos presentó recientemente y, si bien hay poco tiempo, realmente creemos que los datos nos permitirán tomar decisiones acertadas. Tenga en cuenta también que este es un programa de pruebas absolutamente voluntario y las personas que eligen no participar no necesitan enviar ninguna explicación por correo electrónico, sino simplemente no hacer una prueba. El proceso será bastante simple, ya que los padres sólo necesitan completar el breve acuerdo de privacidad y presentarse a la hora designada que coincide con el apellido de la familia.
Nuevamente, no esperamos que esta prueba produzca un "milagro", pero creemos que los datos pueden ayudarnos a ampliar el plazo y mantener a las personas seguras hasta que llegue la vacuna.
