It is as though summer has come and went in the blink of an eye and the Fall athletics season is underway at Walt Whitman High School. Almost 500 student-athletes are participating this season, starting tryouts and training over the summer months to prepare for a Fall full of competitive play.
Since team workouts began in August, the energy on the courts and playing fields has been palpable, bustling with excitement from our athletes, coaching staff, and spectators as we have a full slate of games and tournaments scheduled against teams across Suffolk County. The season officially began with home openers by Whitman’s Boys Varsity Soccer and Girls Varsity Tennis teams hosting their opponents the evening before the first day of school. It was great to see our athletes back into the swing of things, witnessing the enthusiasm of each player as they return to their beloved sport.

Fall sports at Stimson Middle School are set to begin on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, and student registration is now open, to be completed through Final Forms at https://southhuntington-ny.finalforms.com. In order to participate, all students must have an updated health examination on file with the district.
