Protocol for Public Participation at October 1, 2024 Presentation to the Board of Education Regarding Potential Elementary Realignment
- Speakers are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.
- A speaker may not speak more than once, regardless of whether they used the entirety of their three (3) minute allotment.
- A speaker may not transfer any unused portion of their three (3) minute allotment to another speaker.
- All speakers must state their name and speak at one of the District provided microphones; no speaker may speak from their seat in the auditorium.
- All speakers must register onsite to speak using the District provided Chromebook; speakers will be called to speak in the order that they signed in.
- No speaker may present any audio or video materials.
- No signage or any other item that may obstruct the view of the audience is permitted in the auditorium.
- Speakers should direct their comments to the Board of Education and not the audience.
- Speakers (and the audience) are expected to always maintain decorum and refrain from cursing, shouting, or personal insults.
- Any questions or comments should be directed to the President of the Board of Education, who responds to such questions and comments on behalf of the Board, and not to one individual member.
