We want to thank all of the participants and volunteers who made the 2024 SHEF in Motion 5k/10K Run/Walk a huge success. It was remarkable to see so many members of our learning family galvanized behind such a wonderful cause: the arts in South Huntington schools. Special thanks to race coordinator, Sheila Buhse, and her dedicated team for their tireless efforts in making this vision a reality.
The South Huntington Educational Foundation would like to extend their thank you's to the many sponsors that have come forward to support the SHEF IN MOTION event this year. The funds will be used to support our student’s Arts, Dance and Music programs. Always remember to support our local vendors as they have continued to support what is important to our South Huntington students.

The day started off with the kids Fun Run on the WWHS track.
By 9am, the runners of the 5k/10k were off to race down West Hills Road.
Silas Wood showed up this year with big numbers and was named SHEF In Motion's Most Enthusiastic Building!
Musicians from Walt Whitman High School stood with BOE Trustee Fred Scragg and Superintendent Dr. Vito D'Elia at the last leg of the race, playing music for runners and walkers to finish the route with.
We loved to see pups running with one of this year's sponsors, Kinetic Coaching.
