Dear South Huntington Family & Friends,

Whitman's Recording Studio Club, The Collective, co-advised by Matt Hoffman and Vito Monti, just dropped its first ever Fall Fest EP Record.  The 2022 autumnal album features three stellar tracks including two student originals and a festive fall faculty track.

The Whitman faculty rendition of “Ghostbusters” features Dave Rickmers on lead vocals, Matt Hoffman on guitar, and yes you heard it here, Whitman’s Principal and Assistant Principal, Ken Costa and Jon Varlamos, bringing it home on back-up vocals!

“Halloween” features Anthony Maida on keyboards and back-up vocals and Marc Malafronte on lead vocals, guitars and bass.  The original track was completed in The Collective Studio Lab where both maverick artists took the engineering and production controls into their own hands and created their very own independently produced Halloween rock anthem!

“Nightmares are Dreams Too” is an original song written and performed by alumna, Julia Rinaldi. This 2020 pandemic album re-release, featuring Rinaldi on piano and vocals and Matt Hoffman on guitar and bass, will send a chill down your spine!

This year’s first ever Fall Fest EP Album is free for the South Huntington Community and comes with a 50/50 Fall Donation Raffle which will be drawn on November 10th.  Last year’s Collective raffle winner, Melissa Papianou, walked away with $1,845 bucks!

All raffle donations support The Collective Recording Studio Program by giving South Huntington student musicians the opportunity to practice their craft in songwriting, recording and sound engineering.

If you feel inspired by our student musicians and faculty, please consider donating through the 50/50 Fall Fest Raffle.  The next winner could be you!

Thanks again for your generous support; your contribution makes a difference!

With gratitude,

Vito Monti & Matt Hoffman
