The Wildcat Cares Pantry is Open!

Written by Ms. Lea Tyrrell | Jan 8, 2024 5:43:09 PM

The fall and winter holidays gave our schools and students several opportunities to help their neighbors who need food assistance provide their families with nutritious meals.  From Penny Wars at Stimson, the Holiday High Five at Birchwood, Tommy the Turkey at Oakwood, Thanksgiving Food Boxes put together by Silas Wood students, and several Giving Trees, to the Holiday Blessings Tour hosted by Walt Whitman High School  - and more events - tons of food, thousands of hygiene products, and hundreds of dollars in grocery gift cards were donated to families in need.  But even though the holiday season has ended, the need for food assistance has not.  The Wildcat Cares Food Pantry at Walt Whitman High School is open throughout the school year to help, every other Wednesday from 2:30 - 4:00 PM.
