Congratulations to Walt Whitman’s February 2024 Athletes of the Month, Xavier Ali and the entire Girls Varsity Basketball team!
Junior Xavier Ali placed 2nd in the Shot Put at the New York State Indoor Track & Field Championships to close out his winter season. Xavier placed second in the NYSPHSAA and The Federation with a throw of 56’5.75”, marking another school record! Congratulations!
Whitman’s Girls Varsity Basketball team had a historic and memorable season. The team won their second consecutive County Championship and first ever Long Island Championship! The team will go down in history as the first ever AAA champions, as this is the first year of this conference. Congratulations!
