Congratulations to Junior Venusmarlu Stewart on earning Athlete of the Month for November! Venus has been swimming and diving competitively for seven years and is best known setting Whitman diving records in 2022, with 6 dives at 223.40 points and 11 dives at 373.70 points. Venus’ highlight of the season was taking 6th place in Diving at County Championships and she looks forward to another season competing for Walt Whitman. Congratulations, Venus!
Congratulations to Freshman Maria Petkovits on earning Athlete of the Month for November! Maria had a great season this past fall by qualifying for and competing in the Suffolk County Championships and taking 7th place in the 200M Medley Relay. Maria has been on the Varsity Swimming and Diving team since 8th grade and looks forward to continuing to grow with the program. Congratulations, Maria!
Congratulations to Senior Ryan Hill on earning Athlete of the Month for November! Ryan has been running on the Varsity Cross Country team for 6 years and had a great season of personal bests and academic accolades. Ryan’s highlight of the season was competing and beating the notoriously tough Commack team. Most recently Ryan earned the All County Academic Team Award from the Suffolk County Coaches Association. Congratulations, Ryan!
