Up until most recently, the Suffolk County Police Department informed us as to when a Level 1, 2 or 3 sex offender relocated into the Huntington, Huntington Station and Melville areas. However, a new format has been put in place whereby securing information regarding Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders is obtainable now only through the website of the Department of Criminal Justice, rather than a law enforcement agency providing this information to us directly. This same information can also be obtained through the above cited website or the Parents for Megan’s Law website.

Level 1 information is still provided to the district directly from the SCPD. Information pertaining to Level 1 offenders includes name, photograph, residence zip code and the offense description and special probation or parole conditions.

Update: April 11, 2022 - Please be advised that a Level 1 sex offender has moved into the 11743 zip code area, and the information received from the Suffolk County Police Department can be viewed in the Superintendent’s Office, Room 109.
