More about this year’s candidates:
Andrew Bronson
Since 2017, I have had the privilege of serving as a Trustee on the South Huntington School District Board of Education. My wife, Brooke, and I are proud 24-year residents of the community, and our sons, Jacob and Michael, attended our wonderful district schools from Oakwood Primary through Walt Whitman High School. I have worked at a Big Four accounting firm since 2003, and Brooke is a speech therapist supporting children with special needs.
I also serve on the district’s Audit, Curriculum, and Policy Committees. As a parent and community member, I have volunteered as a lacrosse and assistant basketball coach, chaperoned field trips, and regularly participate in Countrywood’s Read Across America event. You may also recognize me from the annual Lip Sing for Scholarships event.
I am approachable, responsive, fair-minded, and a team player who believes in the importance of listening, learning, and clearly communicating when making important decisions. There is nothing more important to me than ensuring a high quality and well rounded education for our students, while being fiscally mindful for the better good of our community.
