2024 Hunting-Tony Awards
South Huntington is proud to recognize Walt Whitman’s winners at the 14th Annual Hunting-Tony Awards Ceremony that was held early this June at The Paramount in Huntington Village. This year, 6 Walt Whitman actors were nominated for 6 awards, as well as 11 production nominations. Walt Whitman took home awards for Best Lead Actor in a Play, Best Supporting Actress in a Musical and Best Technical Musical Production!
Congratulations to Senior Jaren Smullian on winning Best Lead Actor in the play “Don’t Drink the Water” and to Sophomore Marygrace Reilly on winning Best Supporting Actress in the musical “Mamma Mia!”. Walt Whitman High School also came home with the win for Best Technical Production for their spring musical, “Mamma Mia!”.
This year’s performances showcased many of our students and the talent level they possess, and we are fortunate to have had the opportunity to recognize those involved in making this year's program such a success. Congratulations to our nominees and award winners on a job well done!

The Paramount served as the perfect venue to recognize the talent of our theater students across the Huntington township.
