After an incredible 5-4 overtime victory against Syosset High School in the Long Island Championships, Walt Whitman’s Boys Varsity Soccer team has advanced to the New York State AAA Semifinals. At the Long Island Championship game, Jamith Jimenez redirected a corner kick by Michael Mannino to lift Whitman 11 minutes into the first overtime period. Michael Mannino led the Wildcats with a goal and 3 assists. Jerson Contreras, Anthony Reyes, and Alex Del Priore scored as well to keep the Wildcats up on the board.

Now having captured the Suffolk County and Long Island Championship, the Boys Soccer team will travel up to Middletown, NY to compete in the NYSPHSAA Championship Weekend!  We thank the entire South Huntington community for the tremendous support and energy at the team's 5-4 overtime victory over Syosset and hope that you can all travel up to Middletown High School to support the team and show the rest of the state that Wildcat Pride!  Tickets are required for this game and can be purchased online.
