Stimson Inducts New Members in the National Junior Honor Society

It has been an exciting couple of weeks as we approach the homestretch of the 2024-2025 school year. Stimson celebrated and welcomed new inductees into the Stimson Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society at the recent ceremony hosted at the high school, where proud smiles and applause filled Whitman’s PAC.
We congratulate all of our Stimson National Junior Honor Society members, as well as their advisors, Jessica Voorhees and Sarah Charles, along with their dedicated teachers. We also offer special recognition to our inductees’ parents and families who have nurtured and supported them throughout their academic careers.
“I introduce all of you as the next leaders of South Huntington,” Stimson Principal, Mr. Michael Duggan shared as he looked upon the middle school’s new inductees. “Leadership is challenging and it’s a vital art to master.” Principal Duggan acknowledged how this recognition is a milestone in these student’s academic journey, but it is their ability to be characterized as resilient leaders that make them stand out. “Being a leader is seen in the quiet acts of integrity, the courage to do what is right even if it’s not popular, the ability to uplift others with empathy and conviction. Our inductees have exemplified this kind of leadership.”
We are confident that there are more wonderful things to come from this talented group of emerging scholars. Congratulations to our new members!
